common weights for the evaluation of decision-making units with nonlinear virtual inputs and outputs

in this paper, by investigating the common weights concept and dea models with nonlinear virtual inputs/outputs, we introduce a model for evaluating the decision making units with nonlinear virtual inputs and outputs based on the common weights.

Computing the efficiency interval of decision making units (DMUs) having interval inputs and outputs with the presence of negative data

The basic assumption in data envelopment analysis patterns (DEA) (such as the CCR andBCC models) is that the value of data related to the inputs and outputs is a precise andpositive number, but most of the time in real conditions of business, determining precisenumerical value is not possible in for some inputs or outputs. For this purpose, differentmodels have been proposed in DEA for imprecis...

A comprehensive common weights data envelopment analysis model: Ideal and anti-ideal virtual decision making units approach

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) calculates the relative efficiency of homogenous decision-making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. Classic DEA models usually suffer from several issues such as: discrimination power, variable weights of inputs/outputs, inaccurate efficiency estimation for small number of DMUs, incapability in working with zero and negative data, and not having exter...

Virtual Inputs Virtual Outputs

We have developed a formal validation tool that has been used in several projects that are developing software for AT&T's 5ESS TM telephone switching system. The tool validates networks of communicating processes speciied in the Virtual Finite State Machine (VFSM) notation, which is used during the low-level-design phase of software development to specify the control behavior of an implementati...

Ranking of decision making units based on cross efficiency by undesirable outputs and uncertainity

Cross efficiency is one of the useful methods for ranking of decision making units (DMUs) in data envelopment analysis (DEA). Since the optimal solutions of inputs and outputs weights are not unique so the selection of them are not simple and the ranks of DMUs can be changed by the difference weights. Thus, in this paper, we introduce a method for ranking of DMUs which does not have a unique pr...

the evaluation of language related engagment and task related engagment with the purpose of investigating the effect of metatalk and task typology

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
